Dr. Wilbert R. Warren, MD, FACP
Dr. Warren graduated from the University of Rochester in 1989 with Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. While there he co-founded the Charles Drew Premedical Society to support undergraduates pursuing a career in medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1993 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. While there he earned Edwin Robinson Prize Award for Extracurricular Achievement based on community service involvement. While there he was co-president of the Student National Medical Association chapter. In 1997, he completed his residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of American College of Physicians based in Philadelphia.
After completing his residency, Dr. Warren accepted a position with Allegheny Health & Education Foundation - West Girard Medical Practice in Philadelphia. When this practice was closed by Allegheny, he joined one of their groups at Philadelphia Health Associates in 1998. A few years later he and two other physicians purchased the practice and formed Philadelphia Health Associates-Adult Medicine in 2001. He spent many years doing clinical research, hospital care, rehabilitation services and outpatient medicine. However, he currently focused solely on ambulatory primary care services.
Dr. Warren is married to Cynthia Warren, MD, a pediatrician who is part of Center City Pediatrics on the 2nd floor at 1740 South Street. He and his wife served as co-leaders of the Health Team Ministry at their church for over 15 years.
