I graduated from the University of Rochester in 1989 with Bachelor of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology. While there I co-founded the Charles Drew Premedical Society to support undergraduates pursuing a career in medicine.  I earned my Doctorate of Medicine in 1993 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. While there I earned Edwin Robinson Prize Award for Extracurricular Achievement based on community service involvement.  While there I was co-president of the Student National Medical Association chapter. In 1997, I completed my internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I am board certified in Internal Medicine. I am a fellow of American College of Physicians based in Philadelphia. I value long-term relationships.



I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2009 from Drexel University, Philadelphia. In 2016, I earned my Masters in Nursing to be a family nurse practitioner from Walden University in Minnesota, MN. 

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a nurse for many years, supervising and managing care of patients in nursing home setting. I have had experience with empowering patients through education. My strengths include great therapeutic communication skills, working in and motivating teams, creative approaches to problem solving.
